Jeremiah is the blacksmith for Lilith's crew. Having a smith to be able to repair weapons and armor while on the road is very useful. On top of that he is a crafty tinkerer and is constantly trying to get whatever edge they can on the dragons. Any crew would be ecstatic to have Jeremiah on their crew except.... He is a werewolf. This fact causes most trappers to refuse to work with him. It is also what makes him a perfect fit for Lilith's crew. Jeremiah learned to smith after contracting lycanthropy. No binding or cage could hold him so he decided he would have to make them himself in order to keep him from hurting people.
